• Algal Core is a vertically laminated composite of microalgae-derived high-density polyurethane and domestically sourced aspen
• Stable and intuitive, this combination reduces weight and offers damping properties unattainable in solid wood core constructions
• Polyurethane bio-based carbon content is 41.58% by ASTM D6866-18 Method B
• Algal Wall is a cast polyurethane sidewall derived from microalgae oil that delivers superior damping compared to traditional materials and exhibits increased impact strength
• This Algal Wall increases bio-based content over the original Algal Wall from 58% to 67% by ASTM D6866-18 Method B
• Spiral Plate provides ~35% better binding screw retention strength than maple inserts used in previous years; it also diverts landfill waste and reduces use of virgin material
• Spiral Plate creates a more even flex from tips to tails
• Progressive flex begins medium-to-stiff in the tails, transitioning to stiffer through the mid section and decreasing gradually toward the tips
• This flex pattern creates a solid platform for stability in the tails and underfoot while the medium tip flex handles crud and variable conditions with ease
• Due to its narrower width, the torsional stiffness of these skis is super strong, allowing for optimal edge hold and stability in variable conditions
